Kendall Street Company

Kendall Street Company
Kendall Street Company performs regularly along the East Coast, maintaining a central presence around the state of Virginia. While the Company's music is influenced by a variety of musicians and styles, the group has been described as "psychedelic," "alternative," "jammy," "rock," "indie," and "ska." Their recent performance at the 2017 Lockn Music Festival was praised by Relix magazine as having "[raised] the crowd's energy with frontman Louis Smith and guitarist Ben Laderberg's acoustic/electric interplay and lively, technical breakdowns". It is not uncommon for guest performers to join the group on stage for extended jams.

The Trongone Band with Strong Water

10PM Start.

21+

The Trongone Band
Hailing from Richmond, VA, The Trongone Band is touring in support of their 2017 debut album, “Keys to the House”, released on Harmonized Records. With a sound that Paste Magazine likens to the “freak-outs of My Morning Jacket with the Muscle Shoals-inspired Leslie speakers and The Band’s narrative storytelling”, The Trongone Band is turning heads and making an impact on the Southern Rock ‘n’ Soul and Americana scenes.

Strong Water
Born out of the vibrant college community that is Harrisonburg, Virginia, Strong Water is an energetic, dance-all-night, up and coming Folk/Americana band. What originally started as a duo, swelled to be a six piece before settling on it's now-three dedicated members whose performance is built on strong Male and Female lead vocals supported by harmonies, driving Acoustic/Electric Guitar or the occasional Banjo, well crafted melodic Fiddle lines, and rounded out by tasteful Drums/Percussion, as well as an Upright or Bass Guitar depending on the show.

The Black Lillies

9PM Start.

All Ages

The Black Lillies
he Black Lillies are a band for the ages: rich, rootsy tunes performed with as much heart as technical virtuosity. If you ask them, they’ll tell you they play “Tennessee music” – combining strains of swampy Memphis soul and blues with Nashville’s classic country and East Tennessee’s traditional Appalachian style – while Rolling Stone describes it as “country music with a soul-rock infusion, supported by bandleader Cruz Contreras' smart songwriting and tight musicianship.” Either way, it’s music that stirs your soul, touches your heart and makes you want to dance.

The Judy Chops with The Big Takeover

9PM Start.
All Ages

The Judy Chops

Three part harmony vocals augmented by baritone banjo uke, searing electric guitar solos, backed by a unique rhythm section consisting of hollowbody electric, upright bass, and cocktail drums. Trumpet and baritone saxophone round out the mix, with the occasional fiddle. The band's music is a blend of modern and vintage sounds and styles, and their show is a high energy, raucous experience that has been wowing audiences at every festival, and venue they've played.

The Big Takeover
At the center of this tight, grooving ensemble is the live-wire singing and deceptively subtle songwriting of the Jamaican-born NeeNee Rushie, a powerhouse performer who makes the audience feel like accomplices more than spectators. Traditional and experimental, The Big Takeover’s global blend reveals deep fluency in reggae and world music, hints of soul, and a pop classicism that is their own thing entirely.

Reina del Cid

Part singer-songwriter, part rock band, you can find Reina del Cid at the intersection of lyrical storytelling and scorching solos. After building a devoted online following as a solo artist, Del Cid teamed up with instrumentalists Toni Lindgren, Andrew Foreman, and Nate Babbs to develop a sound with broad appeal, drawing in mixed crowds from jamheads to college students to white haired intelligentsia. In January of last year, Del Cid released a music video for the song "Death Cap," filmed in Iceland and directed by the band's longtime creative collaborator, Jason Ho. Their music has been featured by Paste Magazine, NPR, and Baeble Music, and their new release, Rerun City is out now!

Driftwood

Driftwood
When most people think of upstate New York, they either imagine bucolic landscapes or working-class towns. As natives of Binghamton, the members of Driftwood hail from a working town, but play music rooted in the land, leaning alternately into folk, old-time, country, punk, and rock, depending on their personal moods and their songs’ needs.
