Dr. How & The Reasons to Live with The Can-Do Attitude

Dr.How and the Reasons to Live
A local favorite, Dr. How reminds you how much fun listening to live music can be. These guys take their tunes for a joy ride that is unique to feel, great to see and awesome to hear. Imagine Yogi Bear finding his picnic basket. Yeah, that's happiness.

The Can-Do Attitude
The Can-Do Attitude is Charlottesville's premier cosmic cowpunk quartet with a boisterous live show and vocals "delivered like a deranged preacher at the pulpit."

Their self-titled debut album, commended as a "dystopian space cowboy opera" by Whurk magazine, was released in October and has already been downloaded by most of the band's mothers.

Town Mountain with Jon Stickley Trio

Town Mountain
Raw, soulful, and with plenty of swagger, Town Mountain has earned raves for their hard-driving sound, their in-house songwriting and the honky-tonk edge that permeates their exhilarating live performances, whether in a packed club or at a sold-out festival.

Jon Stickley Trio
With roots in gypsy jazz, bluegrass, and hip-hop in an “exhilarating all-acoustic swirl” (Acoustic Guitar Magazine), Jon Stickley Trio combines Jon Stickley’s rapid-fire flatpicking guitar with the sultry and wild, yet refined, melodies of Lyndsay Pruett on violin set over the deep groove of Patrick Armitage on drums.

Kendall Street Company with Adar

Kendall Street Company
Kendall Street Company performs regularly along the East Coast, maintaining a central presence around the state of Virginia. While the Company's music is influenced by a variety of musicians and styles, the group has been described as "psychedelic," "alternative," "jammy," "rock," "indie," and "ska." Their recent performance at the 2017 Lockn Music Festival was praised by Relix magazine as having "[raised] the crowd's energy with frontman Louis Smith and guitarist Ben Laderberg's acoustic/electric interplay and lively, technical breakdowns". It is not uncommon for guest performers to join the group on stage for extended jams.

Adar
Powerhouse vocalist and songwriter, Adar, is based out of Charlottesville, Virginia. She formed her band, "Adar", in the summer of 2016, and has since gathered an enthusiastic following with her compelling original songs and her charismatic performances. "Adar" draws from a deep well of original compositions, and introduces new takes on covers that transcend genres from Soul, Funk, Jazz, Rock, and more.

Driftwood

Driftwood
When most people think of upstate New York, they either imagine bucolic landscapes or working-class towns. As natives of Binghamton, the members of Driftwood hail from a working town, but play music rooted in the land, leaning alternately into folk, old-time, country, punk, and rock, depending on their personal moods and their songs’ needs.
